For your 1st appointment, you will need to fill out a medical form giving us all the relevant information about your health.<\/p>

    For your convenience, following your visit, we submit online your insurance claim to your insurance company once the treatment is rendered. Most of the time, your insurance company reply instantly with a detailed benefit coverage of the invoice, therefore except in exceptional cases,\u00a0you pay only the non-covered portion by your insurance plan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

    However, occasionally, your insurance company does not give the coverage details immediately; and in that case, you will be asked to pay us the total fee of your visit and we will give you a completed claim form that you will mail to your insurance company in order for you to receive your insurance benefit within days.<\/p>

    Following your first visit, and in case you need to come back for further treatments, we submit that treatment plan to your insurance company, so you will be aware in advance, of the amount that you need to pay in each of your appointments.<\/span><\/p>

    We would like to mention that your insurance coverage varies according to the agreement signed between your insurance company and your employer and we have no access to its details. Therefore, we highly suggest you to get familiar in advance with your plan coverage such as your maximum allowance per year, checkups & cleaning frequency (every 6, 9 or 12 months?), type of treatments covered and the pourcentage, deductible, etc., by either contacting your insurance company or by checking them in your insurance online portal.<\/span><\/p>

    Dental treatments and surgeries, although necessary, are often a source of concern and questions for our patients. That is why we are happy to provide you with a guide to help you understand how to plan for the post-treatment care and maintenance.<\/p>

    After a \u201cFilling\u201d<\/h2>

    After a white restoration (composite)<\/p>

    Sometimes, it happens that after the insertion of a composite, there is a certain discomfort. The tooth may become sensitive to cold and to mastication in a reversible way. This is quite normal and can last up to about two weeks (period of adaptation to the new restoration), if the sensitivity is not decreasing, return to see us to have it checked.<\/p>

    If you feel that your teeth do not close as usual, it is likely that the composite may be slightly too \u2018high\u2019 and that it requires an adjustment. The composite being a resistant material, it does not wear by itself. Given that the tooth has more pressure than the other teeth, it can develop symptoms in the future. Don\u2019t underestimate the importance of this short appointment of adjustment with your dentist, it takes 5 minutes!<\/p>

    After a gray filling (Amalgam)<\/p>

    Opposed to composite which is hardened directly in your mouth by a light, the amalgamation takes a few hours before reaching its maximum strength. During this period, avoid eating on the side of your restoration for the rest of the day. The same symptoms may also appear temporarily as in the case of a composite (sensitivity to cold and mastication\u2026)<\/p>

    Be assured that it is quite normal that your system react to such an intervention, and that complete healing takes time (a few days, and sometimes even a few weeks) Here are some important instructions in order to minimize the discomfort related to the surgery.<\/p>
